Members of Mass Bears and Cubs regularly take part in community events, volunteering their time and services to support other non-profit groups and the LGBT+ Community at large. These recurring events greatly assist the community organizations. However, they are also an opportunity for MBC members to participate in a worthwhile group endeavor while socializing with other MBC members and making new friends. MY BROTHER’S TABLE, LYNN
MBC members, as a group, periodically staff the kitchen and serving stations at My Brother’s Table in Lynn.
Founded in 1982, My Brother’s Table in Lynn has provided over 4 Million hot meals to men, women, and children in need.
The Boston Living Center
Providing volunteer opportunities for MBC members located in Boston, we also serve meals at the Boston Living Center from time to time.
Boston Living Center (BLC) is a nonprofit community and resource center that fosters the wellness of all HIV positive people and responds to the changing needs of the HIV/AIDS community through education, treatment information and support services.
Each November / December, MBC holds its Annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit Solutions At Work
Gay For Good
MBC regularly supports events produced by Gay For Good Boston. Two of the recurring events that are favorites with MBC volunteers are the annual Red Wagon Build which benefits Toys For Joy, along with the Valentine Day card event in conjunction with Friendship Works.
